At Wakefield Designs, we believe your home should reflect your story—and your closet is no exception. One of our recent projects, a custom walk-in closet in a beautifully renovated Southwest Missouri farmhouse, brought that belief to life in the most elegant way.
This space wasn’t just built for function—it was designed with thoughtful intention and timeless beauty in mind. Our client’s style blends modern ease with classic traditional charm, which aligns perfectly with our aesthetic at Wakefield Designs. The result? A serene and luxurious closet that feels both current and forever classic.

The cabinetry, painted in Upward by Sherwin Williams, offers a soft, light blue tone that pairs beautifully with the original hardwood flooring. We preserved the existing floors to honor the home’s history while elevating the design with custom woodwork and cabinetry that maximizes every inch of storage.

From the tall built-ins and soft-close drawers to hanging space customized to fit everyday wear, the layout was tailored entirely to the client’s needs. Even small details were considered—like incorporating a hidden jewelry storage mirror and designing around a newly installed HVAC floor vent. Sometimes the real magic lies in the creative problem-solving behind the scenes!
One of our favorite touches? The hardware. Delicately selected for elegance and function, these details are what truly bring a luxury closet to life.

This closet was part of a larger renovation in a long-loved family farmhouse, and we were honored to be part of its transformation. Projects like this are a reminder that investing in your space—especially with thoughtful, customized design—adds more than beauty. It adds calm, confidence, and joy to your daily routine.
If you’re dreaming of better organization, more intentional spaces, or simply want a closet that makes your mornings easier, we’d love to help. Wakefield Designs offers expert custom closet design, interior design in Southwest Missouri, and custom woodwork that elevates everyday living.
Let’s build something beautiful together.
